Tiny update-

So now that I'm sharing my blog with The Davis the title doesn't seem to fit anymore. I really liked it though and don't think I can come up with anything more clever so I'm leaving it. Secretly it's still mostly my blog anyway since Christopher probably won't post much.
In other news, I have like three things I've been needing to post about so those will be coming. I can't risk losing my audience so soon after joining blogland from sheer lack of posting! I promise I will update. Cross my heart.

Enter The Davis

So I'm piggy backing on Sarah's blog since I have never done this before.  She gets frustrated at me as I don't follow her directions and just start randomly pushing buttons like I'm playing "whack a mole."  So since this is my first post I'm going to keep all my profound thoughts on life at bay for now and keep it simple.  Most of you probably know I finally graduated school (again) and have been working at a local children's hospital since February.  As for Stogie, he'd be a whole lot cuter if he learned to stay off the couch.  Miss you all and look forward to hearing from you.

Stogie

Due to popular demand I threw together some pics of our dog Stogie. We named him Stogie because he's the shape and color of a cigar. (That may seem obvious but you'd be surprised how many people look at me funny when I tell them that's his name!)
First time we brought him home. He was 7 weeks and only 31/2 lbs!

Second time we brought him home (long story) he was 11 weeks and 4 1/2 lbs. The other dog is Liberty my sister Melissa's Lab/Golden mix. She loves Stogie they wrestle all the time!

This was when he was about 4 months old.

Here he is last week when we were camping. He has reached his full size at 9 lbs and is 6 months old. What a cutie. He was so unhappy and wet from being splashed by Christopher!

Call me crazy

This could be dangerous. First day out and I've blogged three times! I spend a lot of time alone because of Christopher's job schedule. (Kidnappers and other creepsters do not take that as an invitation. I have a small dog with a lot of teeth. And now I guess I'll be getting some pepper spray.) In general, I talk a lot. I talk to Stogie (my dog) a lot but that's not quite the same as a person. Now that I have a new way of communicating with people while spending all that time alone I'm afraid I will be posting a lot! Did that make sense? Alone time + new blog = a lot of posts. (For those keeping track I used the phrase "a lot" five times and I did it on purpose.) Cross my heart this is my last post this evening.

The Smell

It's still out there and coming through my window. Only now after further dissecting I've decided there is another element to it that adds to it's grossness. Something like wet dog and pine-sol like dog shampoo is also part of the essence. Yep I think that better describes it. Maybe now you can understand it's magnitude. Maybe I should just close the window.

Honey I'm home!

So I finally made it to the blogmunity. My cursor lingered for a moment or two over the "create blog" link but I decided this time I should go ahead and click. You see for about 8 or 9 months I've been having the same recurring thought, something like this, "Ooh, if I had a blog I would blog about this..."

These were my very good reasons for not doing it-
a) my life is kinda uneventful and the things I could post about are probably only interesting to me (and maybe my mother)
b) I'm a terrible correspondent therefore probably also a terrible blogger
c) this is pretty much the quickest way to embarrass myself by writing something stupid and publishing it to the most people possible (the entire World Wide Web).

Oh my. Typing out my reasons makes them seem even better and I'm wondering if I have made a terrible mistake?! I guess we shall see...

P.S. You know how sometimes you do something weird or silly unconsciously and then look around to see if anybody saw? Anybody who was watching me type would probably think I was furious. I just realized the entire time I've been typing this at my desk next to the open window my nose has been getting more and more wrinkled and scowly. The lovely breeze coming in my window slowly turned from fresh and lovely to something more like fabric softener (yummy) and wait for it... burned pizza (yuck) or is it Mexican food? Either way = P.U. (not sure how to spell that sound. Just say the letters and you'll know what I was trying to spell.) If I was braver I would post a staged pic of my expression. Actually it wouldn't be staged because try as I might I can't seem to stop making it. Hehe.
